The Bridging IT and Social Care Project was borne out of the need to reduce digital exclusion in older people and instill a sense of retrospective values in working with older people. Our small scale research identified the marginalisation that many older people feel around information technology. 50% of respondents also put it in the same category as reducing the levels of crime in youths and that a government drive would be the biggest influence on the subject.
KSCC provides 1 - 1 or group support for people over 55. The service operates on a non profit basis and subsequently only charges enough to cover expenses.
